1. Plaza de la Constitución: start with the illuminated trees and holiday atmosphere in the central square. Map the plaza ↗.
2. Bayfront & Bridge of Lions: follow the public waterfront along Avenida Menendez for views of the illuminated city. Choose a comfortable turnaround point instead of committing to a long walk. Map the bayfront ↗.

For a shorter evening, enjoy the plaza and a nearby meal. You can explore at your own pace and skip additional stops whenever you need a break.

A dedicated lights ride is a seated way to enjoy the evening displays. This is a continuous sightseeing ride, not the daytime hop-on, hop-off service. Do not assume a daytime trolley ticket includes it.

The operator sells tickets by trolley row, accommodating 1–4 guests. Check the booking page carefully so you understand the total price and how many rows your party needs.

• Select your exact date and departure time, then check the ride length, boarding deadline and departure location.
• Allow for the queue and the journey back to your STS meeting point after the ride.
• Ask the operator about boarding assistance or mobility-device arrangements before paying.

Scenic Cruise offers seasonal Nights of Lights sailings for a different perspective on the city. This is a good alternative to a trolley if you would rather spend your main evening activity on the water.

Check the operator’s calendar for your date and the actual boarding dock. Seasonal and opening-night departures can differ; confirm departure time, duration and return time before purchasing. For questions, call 904-824-1806.

Bring a warm layer for the waterfront breeze. Review weather and cancellation terms, seating and accessibility, and include travel from the dock back to the bus in your plan.

1. Daylight: explore St. George Street or choose one main attraction, such as Castillo de San Marcos. Keep some energy for the evening.
2. Early meal: eat before the busiest evening period. Consider Columbia Restaurant ↗ for a reserved seated meal, or choose one of the other options in Where to eat.
3. After dark: choose the free lights walk, a reserved trolley ride, or a cruise. Avoid booking multiple timed evening activities back to back.
4. Return: work backward from your host’s meeting time. As a starting point, leave 45–60 minutes for the return journey and delays; allow more if your activity ends farther away or crowds are heavy.

This is a suggested personal plan, not a timed STS itinerary. If the available evening is short, a nearby lights walk gives you more flexibility than a timed tour.

• Opening night, weekends and holiday dates can be busy. Reserve a preferred ride early and leave room for queues, slow sidewalks and road closures.
• Wear comfortable shoes for uneven historic streets and bring a layer for the evening. Rest whenever you need to; you do not have to complete every suggested stop.
• Save your host’s phone number and a screenshot of your exact meeting point. The sightseeing maps here are not bus pickup instructions.
• Use official city updates for access arrangements and any seasonal shuttle information. Check the season shown: some city information may still describe the previous year.
